The Pommish Invasion

An award winning short climbing film on a Tasmanian sea-stack.

The Pommish Invasion was my debut adventure film, shot on a £40 action-cam and an old point-and-shoot camera. Much to my surprise, it was selected for a number of film festivals across three continents and won first prize in the ‘One Year in Tas’ competition at Cradle Mountain Festival, Tasmania.

The story follow three friends looking to take on their most difficult and committing climb of their lives. The found it. the trio make an ascent of the Candlestick sea-stack situated off the coast of the remote Cape Hauy. It turned out that the route was the least of their problems as just getting to the base of it was an adventure in itself.
